Asymptotic Sensitivity Properties of Davison Type Integral Controllers for Time-Delay Plants

چکیده
Sensitivity properties of the Davison type integral controllers for time-delay plants are discussed on the assumption that the observer gain matrix is fixes and the cheap control is used to determine the feedback gain matrix. It is shown that the Davison type integral controller can be expressed as a limit of the standard predictor-based LQG controller. The explicit representation of the asymptotic sensitivity matrix is obtained by a simple limiting procedure for the standard problem. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the difference from the standard predictor-based LQG controller.

Neural-Smith Predictor Method for Improvement of Networked Control Systems
Networked control systems (NCSs) are distributed control systems in which the nodes, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and plants are connected by a digital communication network such as the Internet. One of the most critical challenges in networked control systems is the stochastic time delay of arriving data packets in the communication network among the nodes. Using the Smith predic...

We examine a design method for robust stabilizing modified proportional– integral–derivative (PID) controllers for time-delay plants with uncertainty. The PID controller structure is very widely used in industrial applications. However, the plants to which the PID controller is applicable are restricted. Yamada, Hagiwara and Shimizu proposed a design method for robust stabilizing modified PID c...

Unlike the existing views that was introduced the existence of delay caused by the transmission of wide area measurement system data (WAMS) into the controllers input of the power oscilation damping (POD) by communication networks as a reason for poor performance of the POD controllers. This paper shows that the presence of time delay in the feedback loop may improve the performance of a POD co...

This paper focuses on the asymptotic stability of proportional-integral AQM controllers supporting TCP flows. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop linearization are provided. As a result, the complete set of proportional-integral controllers that locally stabilizes the equilibrium point is obtained. The robustness of the controllers to uncertaintie...

This paper presents performance limitations and a control design methodology for nonminimum phase plants of the pure delay type subject to robustness constraints. Of interest is the design of a set of controllers, for which the open-loop transfer function is a proportional-integral (PI) controller plus delay, meeting constraints on the magnitude of the closed-loop transfer function and on the p...
